Automotive Testing Expo 2023 (June 13-15) – Come find us in Stuttgart!
Siemens is proud to be a part of this year’s Automotive Testing Expo and we invite you to visit our booth #1310 in Hall 10 to learn more about our solutions for automotive testing. Our team of experts will be on hand to showcase the latest technologies and answer any questions you may have.
Demos – test it yourself
At the Siemens booth, you’ll have the opportunity to see our solutions in action and learn about the many benefits they offer through our demonstrators. Our experts will be showcasing our latest tools and would be very keen to show you some of the exciting features.
At our booth, you will be able to learn about end-to-end durability testing, ranging from instrumentation to validation and input for simulation; how to create a digital twin of your vehicle (and listen to it!), and predict NVH performance with simulation and test data working in synergy; as well as how to perform battery testing in real-life loading conditions. This year, we will also feature our software and testing hardware used for autonomous vehicle development and hardware-in-the-loop with real-time testing demonstrations alongside end-of-line and manufacturing quality testing, and electronics thermal testing. Join us for a full experience on Flexible electronics interface testing, how to analyze your electric motor signature, how to troubleshoot acoustics problems with sound source localization, and more!
Do not miss out on all the insights that real-life testing demos can offer.

Get to market faster: methodically exploring unknown unsafe scenarios – Ludo Gielen
For the introduction of driver assistance systems and autonomous vehicles, the SOTIF (Safety Of The Intended Functionality) standard has brought along a shift in the safety case. It forces OEMs, Tier1s and suppliers to have methods in place to reduce the amount of unknown-unsafe scenarios by applying sufficient exploration and testing. Critical Scenario Creation is an objective, robust, and scalable process for discovering the scenarios which are deemed unsafe. This will reduce the risk of autonomous vehicles to other road users and speed up their deployment in the public realm.
Road noise engineering: state-of-the-art methodology for characterizing tires and suspensions – Eric Sorber
Is it possible to predict the road noise performance of a virtual vehicle prototype from component test bench data? Component-based Transfer Path Analysis (C-TPA) promises to do exactly that, answering to the industry’s increased focus and pressure on road noise engineering due to vehicle electrification. This session will explain our state-of-the-art methodology for characterizing two particularly challenging components (tires and suspensions) in their dynamic operational boundary conditions. Next, hybrid virtual vehicle prototypes will be created by connecting these test-based component models to simulation-based vehicle body models for objective and subjective road noise assessment in the early design stages.
Improve testing efficiency with remote data acquisition and virtual sensors – Şafak Has
Despite continued evolution towards electrification and autonomous driving, customer expectations for reliable and comfortable vehicles remain unchanged. Hence, reliable durability engineering is required, and load data acquisition remains an important part of the whole process. To reduce costs, test engineers are eager to find ways to accelerate time-consuming instrumentation, test setup, measurement and data validation tasks. Automation and embedding simulation with testing is key to eliminating inefficiencies in the whole process. In this presentation, new approaches will be covered to help improve measurement quality while increasing productivity with innovative technologies such as remote data acquisition, virtual instrumentation, virtual sensors, and automated data validation.
