At its Microsoft Inspire event Tuesday, July 18, Microsoft announced that Siemens has been selected as a Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing partner. This enhances Siemens’ ability to provide cutting-edge solutions while utilizing Microsoft’s robust knowledge, capabilities, and extensive resources.

Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing seeks to bring a holistic, end-to-end approach to customers going through manufacturing digital transformations. Teamcenter, along with many other solutions from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, has been available for quite some time on Microsoft Azure. While organizations can still discover, purchase and deploy Siemens Xcelerator solutions through Azure, the purpose of Microsoft’s Cloud for Manufacturing is to curate collections of business applications that achieve specific business outcomes.

Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing focuses on four primary objectives: enabling intelligent factories, creating resilient manufacturing supply chains, unlocking innovation and introducing new products, and modernizing manufacturing customer experiences. Teamcenter and the wider Siemens Xcelerator portfolio supports all of these objectives.
