Model-based RAMS with MADE 3.8.7 – What’s New?

Today, we are excited to announce the release of MADE 3.8.7 for model-based reliability, maintainability and safety analysis (RAMS).

What’s new in MADE model-based RAMS software?

This release includes several key capabilities to help our customers to implement a model-based RAMS process based on the digital risk twin. These include user experience and workflow enhancements, including faster model creation thanks to improved integration with PLM systems such as Teamcenter leveraging enhanced API protocols. MADE 3.8.7 also delivers a completely redesigned and upgraded Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA) process.

  1. Enhanced MPD – Mission Profile Definition: MADE 3.8.7 offers an advanced Mission Profile Definition (MPD) feature that allows you to define specialized phases with more precision and ease. 
  1. Improved FHA – Functional Hazard Analysis: We have incorporated the latest recommendations from ARP 4761 rev A to refine our Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA). 
  1. Model-Based Control Measures/FMECA:  New taxonomy and enhanced customization for control measures are delivered, as well as upgraded MIL 802E methods to deal with software control level assessment and new updated failure modes, effects, and criticality analysis (FMECA) reports.
  1. Diagnostics and Testability:  the new prognostics and health management (PHM) module includes sensor library additions for testability costs and updates of sensor parameters, metrics optimization and comparison for testability.  
  1. Upgraded APIs and integration with Teamcenter: realizing the full value of model-based RAMS requires the analyses to be integrated into global RAMS activities, for example certification processes. This release includes new and enhanced integration API protocols, enabling a highly effective integration with the Teamcenter PLM software.
