Improving machine utilization with self-adaptive machining

Due to increasing product variety and complexity, one of Jiangyin Wilson’s long-term goals was improving manufacturing quality and processing time. This led the company to implement NX software in their production processes which helped them improve their utilization of machine tools through standardized parameters and implement more highly developed 5-axis CNC machining operations.

One of their main challenges was workblank inconsistency. With guidance from Siemens Expert Partner Grace Field and by using NX CAM, Jiangyin Wilson was able to solve this by creating self-adaptive machining processes, thus reducing the need for manual point selection and cutting preparation and machining time by 20 percent.

Since the introduction of NX software, we have achieved great improvements in our management efficiency, production cost, machining quality and safety.
