Benelux Academic Day Explores New Developments in Siemens Simcenter
After a 2-year delay due to COVID, Siemens was finally able to organize the Benelux Simcenter Academic Day again. This year, GroupT in Leuven, Belgium, hosted the event for around 30 simulation specialists from 12-15 different universities. Simcenter is a flexible, open, and scalable portfolio that serves as a key component of Xcelerator. Siemens believes that the comprehensive digital twin is critical to the future of engineering innovation. By providing predictive simulation and test applications that enable real-world insight of a product or process, Simcenter enables the use of this comprehensive digital twin. Thus, with Simcenter, companies can now accelerate innovation over a product’s entire lifecycle. The Simcenter portfolio includes Simcenter 3D, Simcenter STAR-CCM+, and Simcenter Amesim. Presenters at the Benelux Academic Day were able to provide more detailed insight to these different components of the Simcenter portfolio.
Benelux Academic Day explores getting involved with Simcenter
Attendees and presenters at the Benelux Academic Day included professors, Siemens employees, PhD students, and student competition teams. They were able to enjoy a diverse program that covered new developments and resources in Simcenter, including:

As a result of creating a discussion space for these topics, the Benelux Academic day allowed simulation enthusiasts to foster a sense of community over their shared experiences and passions. Following the success of this event, Siemens hopes to provide more opportunities for bringing together experts at the forefront of simulation technology!
