Something to celebrate! It’s International Women’s Day

By Jenn Schlegel

International Women’s Day 2021 – Simcenter celebrates!

Well, what can I say? The world is a very different place. And if you look around, all this change is taking us in some very positive directions. The surge in stakeholder economics seems to be driving us all towards a greater good – or at least – let’s hope so. Digitalization has shown us an avenue to a greener, more ecological way of working. And more and more women are taking the lead on the global stage from heads of state, to climate change to vaccine development. Ladies, we’re all over the place these days and doing amazing, revolutionary work. Well done!

So why not take a break and celebrate International Women’s Day with us at Simcenter? Many things have also changed in the engineering field since the early days of simulation. And one of them is definitely that more women are working in STEM. This is certainly the case at Simcenter where we’ve taken the time to chat to five fantastic women who make up the Simcenter family.

Amy, one of our student interns, creates visual content for campaigns using Simcenter STAR-CCM+. She likes the fact that it combines creativity and technology. Eventually, she hopes to be able to promote engineering and STEM opportunities to young girls as well.
