[Event] Let’s meet @ASME Turbo Expo

By Adele Dolique

Phenix, June 17-21, 2019 the ASME Turbo Expo  will bring together 2.800 turbomachinery engineers and experts to share knowledge on the latest technical trends, connect the decision makers, and unveil innovations for the future of the industry.

To that occasion, Olivier Broca head of the Simcenter Amesim Aeronautics, Space and Defense product development team jointly with Ioannis Roumeliotis, Lecturer in Gas Turbine Propulsion & Thermal Systems Integration in the Propulsion Engineering Centre at Cranfield University, will present the results of the partnership between the two entities.

The aviation industry, including rotorcrafts, is recognized as the most rapidly growing source of CO2 emissions, given that global traffic is forecasted to a twofold increase between 2016 and 2035. The industry considers hybrid electric propulsion systems as a potential way to tackle the 2050 targets in terms of emissions, noise and performance. During the technical session host by Ioannis Roumetiotis in the Track 6 Cycle Innovations, you will learn how to evaluate and optimize gas turbine-based hybrid electric propulsion system configurations operability and performance for rotorcraft propulsion, over an oil and gas mission, using system simulation. You are eager to know more on that topic and want to discuss with the authors? Join Olivier Broca on the booth # 219 of the exposition.

You are not able to join the event but still interested in the topic of electrified turbomachine and how to quickly evaluate their performance using system simulation? You still can attend the on-demand webinar available here.
