“Services Continuity Planning” in response to Covid-19 – a message from Sr. VP Global Services & Success, Kurt Kuelz …

By Rebecca Rudder

Dear valued employees, customers, and partners,

During this global health crisis, with our primary focus being the safety of our employees, customers and partners, the Siemens Global Services and Success organization would like to share the steps we are taking to ensure that we continue to deliver high quality services to our clients.  First and foremost, our teams are following all country, state and local COVID-19 guidelines which place a much greater emphasis on our services professionals working remotely from home.  While this unprecedented time in our history is new to all of us, fortunately our services teams have been successfully delivering services and solutions to clients remotely long before working from home became a COVID-19 necessity.  Given the scale upon which we are required to operate remotely, we are taking the following measures to ensure the continuity of services delivery:

  • Adhering to COVID-19 Protocols
    • In addition to following all country, state, and local guidelines, our teams are committed to adhering to any client specific COVID-19 guidelines
  • Updated Project Planning & Communication
    • We are proactively reworking all project plans collaboratively with our clients to accommodate new remote working procedures
    • We are incorporating the actions necessary to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 into all project status reviews
  • Improved Collaboration with Customers
    • We are leveraging our communication best practices associated with remote working and incorporating web cameras where it is feasible and adds value
    • We are leveraging virtual whiteboarding capabilities to enhance effectiveness and bi-directional communication during remote collaboration
  • Strengthened IT Infrastructure
    • We have strengthened our IT infrastructure to ensure we have the capacity to support a larger volume of remote workers accessing our business and knowledge systems
  • Transitioned to remote and online Learning Services delivery
    • Our Instructor Led Training (ILT) classes are now being delivered virtually.  Leveraging our Live! Online Training platform, ILT is conducted in real time using virtual classrooms hosted by an instructor. Students can interact with instructors as they would during any regular In Center training session.  Travel is not required and this approach aligns well with adjusted work schedules.
    • We are offering free 30 day subscriptions to our self-paced Perform and Master Memberships allowing end users to expand their current skills and/or learn new Siemens solutions

While these are difficult times, we are confident that we have the resources, experience and technology to continue to deliver services and solutions that enable you to achieve your digital transformation business objectives.

Sincerely,
Kurt Kuelz
