Leveraging the latest advances in electronics manufacturing to drive new business growth

By Nava Shayovitz

Exciting new ways electronics manufacturers can boost efficiency, reduce line downtime, and increase sustainability

Join us at Productronica 2023 in Munich, November 14-17, where we will shine the spotlight on some of our collaborations. Mark Laing, Business Development Manager, and Jeremy Schitter, Product Line Director at Siemens DISW, will speak about how we are working closely with partners Juki, Mirtec and Europlace on projects to leverage the printed circuit board (PCB) assembly digital twin to ensure you can do first-time-right programming when dealing with the challenge of smaller lot sizes.

As lot sizes shrink, the time to switch from one product to another reduces the overall equipment effectiveness. We are collaborating to create fundamentally new solutions that address this challenge. Our Siemens Xcelerator digital platform and comprehensive digital twin approach to the digital thread form a vital part of this initiative.

An integral part of this solution is the Valor Process Preparation platform for translating and neutralizing electronics design data, component data from Valor Parts Library and Supplyframe. This combination generates the ultimate virtual representation of a PCBA. It enables offline simulation for SMT and inspection, with no need for a real assembled board, considerably reducing the downtime of your assembly lines.

Addressing today’s critical issues of efficiency and sustainability for electronics manufacturers, experts from Cadlog and CircuitByte will also be joining us for a unique and immersive experience that reflects the future of electronics manufacturing. We will cover a wide range of topics related to electronic and mechatronic manufacturing, efficiency and sustainability. You will be able to see how Siemens technologies, together with Cadlog’s and CircuitByte’s expertise and experience, are enabling companies to overcome these challenges and open up new opportunities for growth and innovation.

Our experts are eager to engage with you in insightful discussions about the latest advances in the industry. Siemens team members from around the world will be on hand, ready to speak with you in a wide variety of languages and share their knowledge in electronics design, engineering, execution. This is a great opportunity to explore how prioritizing the digital thread can boost your digital transformation. They will be available to show you exactly how our technologies work and to advise you how you can leverage smart technologies to solve problems and unlock new growth potential.
