Siemens a clear leader in the emerging industrial metaverse market
Siemens recognized as a leader in the 2023 PAC RADAR Report, “Open Digital Platforms for the Industrial World”
Siemens is delighted to have received this recognition as a leader in the industrial metaverse today. We believe that Siemens is uniquely positioned to continue our leadership in the future. By announcing Siemens as a leader, the report stated, “PAC considers Siemens as the leading vendor in this market. This is based on three aspects: a clear strategy, already existing capabilities in their portfolio and the progress they are making. No other vendor in the evaluated vendor landscape has made a stronger commitment to the industrial metaverse topic.”
As we continue our journey further into digitalization, the future of manufacturing is becoming increasingly entwined with the concept of the industrial metaverse. A convergence of digital and physical realities, the industrial metaverse is set to revolutionize design, production, maintenance and collaboration within the manufacturing sector. By merging digital twins with their real-world counterparts, companies can optimize production and processes in a continuous feedback loop. This convergence of digital and real worlds will change the way we work and collaborate, enabling real-time interaction with other people and machines, just like in the real world.
Siemens Digital Industries Software, a global leader in industrial software, is at the forefront of this evolution, leveraging its technology to create immersive, interactive and highly efficient digital twins of manufacturing processes.
In June 2022, we partnered with NVIDIA to build our industrial metaverse strategy in concert with NVIDIA’s Omniverse application. To drive this forward, in March 2023, Siemens announced several Omniverse Connectors for products within the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, including Process Simulate in the Tecnomatix® portfolio. This robust application helps model and simulate manufacturing processes and production systems in a dynamic 3D software environment to enable virtual validation of advanced manufacturing concepts throughout the lifecycle of new product introductions.
Process Simulate, working in tandem with Omniverse, is playing a crucial role in shaping the industrial metaverse. By creating realistic, interactive digital twins of manufacturing processes and complex industrial operations, it is empowering manufacturers to refine processes, anticipate failures, enhance efficiency and revolutionize training and collaboration. From individual workstations and large production lines to entire factories and supply chains, Process Simulate helps manufacturers model, simulate and optimize their operations in a risk-free, virtual environment. Putting detailed Process Simulate engineering and simulation models into the Omniverse real-time photorealistic environment offers a powerful new way to visualize, evaluate and collaborate on manufacturing operations and production systems that goes far beyond a typical 3D view on a 2D screen, helping engineers to make better decisions more quickly. As we continue to explore and harness the potential of the industrial metaverse, it becomes evident that the future of manufacturing has arrived, and it is decidedly digital.
This PAC INNOVATION RADAR report delves into the transformative potential and the strategic insights of the industrial metaverse and the key role that Siemens software like Process Simulate can play. Uncover the transformational potential of Process Simulate together with Omniverse in the manufacturing sector, as it paves the way for a more efficient, sustainable and resilient future in the industrial metaverse.
