Solid Edge User Meet India 2022.1 Recap
Last February, the Solid Edge team here at Siemens Digital Industries Software organized one of our periodically “user meets”. I was invited to the event by our local Siemens solution partner and software reseller, Sitech PLM.
This online event provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with users across industries and geographies, where they learned about how to get the most out of Solid Edge.
Our latest Solid Edge User Meet on February 25, shifted gears a little. This time, the focus was on all things assembly. More than 50 participants from various organizations all came together on one platform to talk about Solid Edge.
The event started with a quick interactive quiz where everyone answered questions on some areas within Solid Edge. This generated a series of questions and points shared by all users, many of which were answered by other users, Siemens partners, and the Solid Edge team. Since the topic of the user meet was Assembly, users discussed various aspects of the environment such as Family of Assemblies (FOA), Motion, Frame, Property Manager, etc.
The team was quick to answer questions, where needed, and wherever the discussion needed further actions, questions and noteworthy discussion points were captured by Solid Edge team members for consideration as part of future product enhancements.
To wrap up the session, attendees were provided a brief overview of “What’s New in Solid Edge 2022” focused on Assemblies, where we introduced Design Configurator, Dynamic Visualization, and a number of other new features and enhancements that are now available in the latest version of Solid Edge.
It was a great meet-up with all the other users from India! We´re looking forward to connecting with you and others at our next user meet.
