Multiple product concepts selected as winners in Designcenter Solid Edge user community design challenge
As part of our commitment to fostering creativity and technical innovation across our global ecosystem of customers and partners, we are excited to announce the winners of our recent Designcenter Solid Edge Remix community design challenge! This challenge invited users of Designcenter Solid Edge software to submit unique concept designs, developed based on a provided base part (a simple block), and showcase their creativity and innovative use of 3D CAD functionality.
After reviewing an impressive range of submissions, we are proud to recognize the following individuals for their outstanding designs.
Meet the winners
Design Champion: Maarten Hoirelbeke, Mechanical Engineer
Winning design: Ancient Hammer
Maarten’s hammer design earned the top spot for its exceptional creativity and highly effective rendering techniques. The design showcases both technical skill and a compelling art direction, blending modern design tools with an ancient aesthetic. Adding the Designcenter Solid Edge logo was not a mandatory requirement of the challenge, but rather a fun user-inspired idea!
Design Spotlight: Gergely Válóczi, Digital Creator
Winning design: Fantastical Fish
Gergely’s design stood out for its originality and playful creativity. The design cleverly maintained the “blocky” aesthetic of the original base part, while crafting an eye-catching and imaginative result that is presented and rendered in an immersive animated world. The design showcases the joy and ingenuity that comes with new concept design and creating 3D-print-ready products.
About the challenge
The Designcenter Solid Edge Remix community design challenge encouraged participants to think creatively and push the limits of what’s possible with Designcenter Solid Edge. Submissions were evaluated on a broad range of criteria such as technical innovation, effective use of Designcenter Solid Edge, and practical application.
