IFP Energies nouvelles develops new electrical storage libraries
Martin Petit, research engineer at IFP Energies nouvelles, explains how Simcenter Amesim and its energy storage solution helps customers to optimize energy storage devices.
IFP Energies nouvelles collaborates with Siemens PLM Software for more than 10 years now for the development of dedicated libraries such as IFP-Exhaust, IFP-Drive and IFP-Engine. “Since 2012, we’ve been working on the development of an additional library, dedicated to electric storage systems.”
“Vehicle electrification is a major trend in automotive industry, as we need to decrease the CO2 emissions of engine and vehicles. In this context, the development of dedicated skills in the domain of electrification, especially electric storage, is particularly expected by the industry players. That is why the electrical storage libraries have to provide valuable information and need to be very precise, to enable development of energy-efficient transmission systems.”
