Today’s keynote speakers could not be from more different industries, we had home appliances with short development cycles and relatively short useful life to large naval vessels with decades of development and decades of useful life.

But despite that difference they are both, to quote Frank Helmke, BSH, ‘playing the integration game’.

BSH is designing, manufacturing and delivering multiple product lines, with large numbers of variants, quickly, in a highly competitive market. They are connecting the product and factory via the Digital Twin, enabling them to drive engineering excellence, increase efficiency, and stay ahead of their competitors.

Robert Stukes – Naval Sea Systems – Realize LIVE

Naval Sea Systems, deploys one huge project over decades but importantly that product needs to stay useful far longer. Complexity of a different type. They both tackle that complexity with integrated toolsets from Siemens. Robert Stukes (Naval Sea Systems) spoke about operationalizing the Digital Twin, from ship to shore, edge to cloud. Digital transformation is a forever initiative, or digital evolution, essential in such a high stakes environment.

Expert insights

We stopped by to speak to the experts in the Solutions Center, what were the hot topics at the ‘Ask the Experts’ booths at this digital transformation conference? Our attendees have asked a lot of challenging questions and there was definitely a focus on productivity, how can I do more with my solution, how can you make me faster? The experts on hand were happy to share their knowledge and experiences.

Industrial co-pilot for both operations and engineering has enjoyed a lot of interest. Did you see the Transformation Stage session from Burr Oak Tools? They have developed their use of AI to ensure it can say ‘ I don’t know’ when it … doesn’t know. No more speculation.

The Sandbox

The Sandbox has been buzzing today, and top three on the trials lab are Teamcenter, Opcenter and Tecnomatix. Attendees have enjoyed trying new solutions, learning more about their existing solutions and rating them at the G2 Hub. A very big thank you to all of the users who took the time to review our solutions, we almost hit 500 reviews. Now that’s something to celebrate.

Celebration

The event throughout has been a celebration of collaboration, networking, technology and innovation. From the visions delivered on mainstage to the real-life success on the breakout stages, from the variety in the Solutions Center to the focus in hands-on training, attendees have come from near and far to share a passion for building a better future.

Global collaboration at Realize LIVE 2025

We wrap up the event with a digital remix, a totally unique line-up: The Sugar Hill Gang, Tone Loc, Uncle Kracker and Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, all backed by a nine-piece dance band, Pop Rocks. Thanks to all the attendees – we have had a blast!
