Parasolid Convergent Modeling makes D3D 30 list

By JonR

Parasolid Convergent Modeling technology has been included in the D3D 30 – a list of 30 emergent technologies which Develop3D believes will enhance productivity by transforming product development and manufacture. You can review the full list here.

Convergent Modeling has been developed at Siemens Digital Industries Software as an enhancement to the Parasolid geometric modeling kernel. The technology enables facet model data, used in 3D scanning and printing processes, to be integrated much more efficiently into the B-rep modeling environment associated with design and engineering workflows. Convergent Modeling reduces the need to translate between the two data formats to accelerate design processes and reduce errors.

In addition to bringing substantial productivity benefits to Siemens’ own NX and Solid Edge applications, Convergent Modeling is made available to other software vendors as part of our company’s open and flexible ecosystem.
