Opcenter MES Medical Device 2607 along with the Mendix™ Low-code platform, which is part of the Siemens Xcelerator business platform of software, hardware and services, delivers new enhancements to improve an application’s capabilities and user experience.

The application has been modernized to deliver greater business value such as reduced total cost of ownership, enhanced configurability, richer metadata management, greatly improved performance, embedded observability and a simple upgrade. An artificial intelligence (AI) performance copilot enables users to interact with manufacturing performance data using natural language.

Several key Mendix enhancements have been introduced, including streamlined user experience for the AQL Sampling and Audit Trail user interfaces. A more configurable resource job maintenance workflow empowers equipment technicians to manage equipment maintenance jobs more effectively. Finally, an equipment logbook supports easily recording and tracking activities performed on the resource.

Electronic Procedures: AQL Sampling Enhancement

• Simplifies the presentation of sample requirements to the operator
• Configuration is available on the Sample Test
• If option is selected for the Sample Test, the remaining number of samples to be collected will be presented by default to the operator
• Removes the need for the operator to manually add the additional samples to be collected

Resource Job Maintenance

• Introduces a new maintenance workflow capability that supports resource maintenance execution
• Delivers a new maintenance specification to create and manage a maintenance workflow
• Provides enhanced shop floor settings with configurable numbering rules
• Associates job maintenance settings with the factory to support maintenance job execution
• Associates’ maintenance workflow with thruput requirements for usage-based maintenance
• Adds an option to close a job container in maintenance specifications to automatically close maintenance containers upon completion
• Can automatically trigger a maintenance workflow based on:

Equipment logbook

• Easily record and track all activities performed on a resource
• Defines a consistent structure and content for logbooks associated with the same resource type using logbook templates
• Quickly associate predefined actions and sub-actions when creating logbook entries, speeding up the creation process
• Collect specific data during logbook entry execution through configurable datapoints defined within sub-actions
• Perform multi-level reviews, enabling reviewers to efficiently approve or reject logbook entries

Additional enhancements

• Updates the browser tab to additionally show the page name
• Automatically selects the resource on the Move In / Move task if a resource is set on a container
• The splitter in the Mendix Electronic Procedures page is now draggable
