Exciting Enhancements to Tessent Training: A Streamlined Future!
We’re thrilled to announce a significant restructuring of our Tessent customer classes, designed to provide a more efficient, focused, and accessible learning experience for everyone! This initiative, rolling out in phases throughout 2026, reflects our commitment to evolving with your needs and the latest advancements in DFT solutions.

Why the Change?
For years, our Tessent classes have been a cornerstone of your learning journey. However, as technology progresses and your workflows shift from point tools to integrated flows, we recognized an opportunity to optimize our training offerings. This restructuring addresses several key areas:
- Modernizing Content: We’re updating our class material to align with current flow-based DFT implementations, ensuring you learn the most relevant and effective techniques.
- Reducing Duplication: We’ve identified and eliminated redundant content across classes, making your learning path more direct and efficient.
- Improving Accessibility: By splitting larger, more comprehensive classes into smaller, focused pieces, we’re making it easier for you to access precisely the knowledge you need, when you need it. This also shortens class lengths, making live training sessions more manageable.
What’s Changing?
Many of our existing large classes are being reconfigured into more specialized classes with a consistent naming convention (e.g., “Core Topics” and “Advanced Topics”). This allows for a more granular approach to learning.
Here are some key elements of the restructuring:
- Split Classes:
- Tessent Diagnosis is becoming Tessent Diagnosis Core Topics and Tessent Diagnosis Advanced Topics.
- Tessent IJTAG is evolving into Tessent IJTAG Core Topics and Tessent IJTAG Advanced Topics.
- Tessent Memory BIST will now be offered as Tessent Memory BIST Core Topics, and a new Tessent Memory BIST Advanced Topics class will be added.
- Tessent Scan and ATPG and Tessent TestKompress are being reconfigured into Tessent ATPG Core Topics, Tessent ATPG with TestKompress, and Tessent ATPG Advanced Topics.
- New Class Offerings: We’re introducing exciting new classes such as Tessent Shell Introduction, Tessent Flow Core Topics, Tessent Flow Advanced Topics, Tessent Boundary Scan, Tessent In-System Test, Tessent RTL Pro, and Tessent Shell Plugins.
- Obsoleted Classes: In addition to the older classes already mentioned, the Tessent Integrated Flow class will be replaced by our new, more focused offerings.
When Can You Expect These Changes?
The rollout of these new and reconfigured classes will begin in Q2 of FY26 and continue through Q3 and Q4. We’ll be updating the Xcelerator Academy website and sending out release announcements as new classes become available.
The Benefits for You:
This restructuring brings a host of advantages for both our customers and employees:
- Clearer Learning Roadmap: More structured and intuitive pathways for skill development.
- More Focused Training: Less repetition and more targeted content for specific needs.
- Increased Flexibility: Shorter class durations make it easier to fit training into busy schedules.
- Enhanced Online Training: A more organized and effective online learning experience.
- Improved Scheduling: A more streamlined process for acquiring and planning your Tessent training.
We’re confident that these changes will significantly enhance your learning experience and empower you with the most up-to-date Tessent knowledge.
