Siemens EDA at Verification Futures 2022

The Verification Futures conference provides a distinctive blend of technical presentations, exhibition and industry networking sessions. The conference is dedicated to discussing the challenges and opportunities in hardware and software verification. Verification Futures provides a unique opportunity for end-users to define their current and future verification challenges and collaborate with the vendors to create solutions. At this year’s Verification Futures, I am presenting a talk titled The Three Pillars of Intent-Focused Insight. And during my talk I make (perhaps a controversial) claim that we are in the midst of a verification crisis manifested by a growing gap between verification efficiency and effectiveness. I also claim that this crisis will not be solved through improvements in verification methodologies and techniques alone. Indeed, I claim that the solution requires a philosophical change in the way we approach design, with an emphasis on bug prevention. During my talk, I propose a unique solution called intent-focused insight to address today’s verification crisis.
