PLM Software Earns AWS Industrial Software Competency Status
Today, at the AWS Transformation Day event in Munich, Amazon Web Services (AWS) launched its new AWS Industrial Software Competency Program. Siemens PLM Software, with its Teamcenter portfolio of solutions, achieved status as a partner in the program after rigorous AWS technical validation, and came through with flying colors (read press release).
At AWS Transformation Day they connect business and IT decision makers and provide insights into cloud migration, cost management, compliance, data security, enterprise applications, innovation culture and industry solutions.
Teamcenter product lifecycle management (PLM) software helps companies deliver increasingly complex products to market while maximizing productivity and streamlining global operations. Acting as the digital thread that connects many data sources, Teamcenter helps companies digitalize information to closely simulate their products and processes — improving global collaboration throughout the enterprise, and driving innovative products to market faster.
Using Teamcenter cloud solutions helps customers lower their cost of PLM ownership by simplifying deployment, eliminating large upfront infrastructure costs, and improving enterprise access to PLM data and processes. Why is this designation such a big deal? As part of this designation, Teamcenter cloud PLM software satisfied the technical validation that includes AWS’ “Well-Architected Framework” checklist. From a customer perspective, this means customers can be confident that Teamcenter will meet, or even exceed, the same performance and security standards on the cloud as an on-premise deployment.
