Solid Edge User Meet India 2022.2 Recap

I had the chance to attend the most recent Solid Edge User Meet 2022.2 in India. The event was hosted jointly by Excel Design Technologies and Siemens on May 27, 2022. The event lasted about two hours, and it provided attendees an opportunity to exchange software knowledge and experience with others users across industries and geographies, where everyone learned about how to get the most out of Solid Edge in a hands-on environment.

My field notes

At this meetup, the agenda was focused around all things Solid Edge Simulation, Generative Design, and Motion. The event was attended by more than 40 users from various companies; and I was obviously one of them. Like I mentioned previously, it was a great opportunity to interact with the various people from different industries, specifically people working in the construction, automotive, aerospace, heavy engineering, and some others.

The discussion started with a quick interesting quiz. Many tricky questions had added the excitement which encouraged all of us to participate. Afterward, Mr. Paras Raina presented some slides and highlighted some of the key points related to simulation, motion, and generative design.

During the session, many people raised interesting questions, including myself. Team members from Siemens and Excel Design Technologies continuously addressed our questions during the session, which was a great example of why these events are so valuable: you’re able to get feedback right away, and more clearly than waiting on someone to respond to a support request. The team also noted down some of the suggestions from users for new features and enhancements to consider as part of future releases.

All around, it was another great virtual meetup with all other users across India! I’m really excited to connect with the team again at our next user meet.
