Disrupting the Travel Industry
Traveling can be such a drag. Traffic, canceled flights, accidents, and crowds really take the joy out of the experience. Whether you are commuting for work, jetting off for a vacation or visiting friends, the commuting part is what most people dread the most. HyperloopTT, an American-based research company, is flipping the travel industry upside down by creating the most comfortable and convenient travel experience ever.
The Hyperloop concept popularized itself in 2013 when Elon Musk decided he wasn’t happy with the expensive and slow rail travel situation in California. He announced his idea for the Hyperloop rail system to the public, however, at the time Musk was too busy to start building a Hyperloop, so he asked other engineers to step in and help him bring this idea to life.
It was at this time HyperloopTT’s team of engineers reached out to SpaceX and started to develop the HyperloopTT system that exists today. Inside the HyperloopTT capsule, which measures about 100 feet in length and travels at speeds up to 700 miles per hour, the ride is completely smooth. You can even drink a cup of coffee…standing up! “You get airplane speeds on the ground. You’re able to move safely, efficiently, and sustainably” says Chief Marketing Officer, Rob Miller.
HyperloopTT is finalizing plans to announce when the first commercial travel journey will take place. Rob Miller says, “Our goal is to have millions of passengers traveling by Hyperloop in the 2020s. It is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when. Hyperloop is coming and we will be riding in one very soon”.
