Smart copy function across specifications

With Opcenter RD&L version 2510 you can now copy any information between specifications in an easy and complete way. Easily transfer data from grids, cells, properties, component lists and info fields into another specification. The smart copy functionality not only allows you to easily copy information, but it also recognizes existing data (such as already present ingredients). Dependencies and associated information such as attributes are also copied over and, where applicable, calculations are automatically triggered.

Roll-up any values from raw material to finished product

Opcenter RD&L provides roll-up functionality allowing the software to calculate component ingredient lists and nutritional values reliably and accurately by using information stored in the material spec and calculating the result based on the quantity of this material in the BoM. You can roll-up to any intermediate or finished product level and always trust that the information is correct and reliable.

In Opcenter RD&L 2510, this functionality has been extended to support automatic roll-up of any value, from raw materials to finished product specifications. This includes non-declared data such as plastic content, trace substances, or internal control parameters, giving you broader insight without affecting your label declarations.

Now providing full support for label declaration in Arabic languages

Opcenter RD&L is a multi-plant, multi-language, multi-time zone application allowing global operators to manage and combine their data according to their business needs. While automatic label declaration in multiple languages has long been a staple of the solution, the full support for Arabic languages, such as number and sign replacement with the corresponding characters is now included, making your expansion in these markets even smoother.

Additional automatic calculations during formulation development

Opcenter RD&L offers a development playground for formulation development with the formula workbench functionality. In this playground you can calculate any value across multiple levels of your formula structure to see the impact any material change has on your overall product, whether it’s cost, cost, nutritional values, chemical parameters or other decision-making parameters.

Multiple automatic calculations have been added, such as defining a target parameter value such as a PH value and the formulation playground automatically calculates the quantity of the material that is needed to achieve this value. Additionally, you can now easily view the impact of different phases have on your control parameters: use the new functionality to see what adding additional quantities of a material has on the formulation and define the best sequence.
