What’s new in Opcenter Execution Discrete 2501

Leveraging out-of-the-box solutions for complex assembly and job shop environments
Summary
Opcenter™ Execution Discrete (EX DS) 2501 software, which is part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, the comprehensive and integrated portfolio of software, hardware and services, is designed to meet the needs of industries that execute sequential discrete manufacturing functions, including:
- Automotive tier suppliers
- Aerospace and defense tier suppliers
- Energy and utilities
- Industrial machinery
- Heavy equipment
- White goods and home appliances
- Complex parts manufacturing and assembly
- Additive manufacturing
By using Opcenter EX DS you can leverage specialized out-of-the-box (OOTB) functions for complex assembly manufacturing, job shop environments (high complexity, low volume) and automated repetitive manufacturing industries (configurable products, high volume).
Opcenter Execution Discrete version 2501 can be installed directly or as an update.
This release includes:
- UI Industry template MX-powered: Consolidated template for batch production and quality inspection execution introducing work instruction on demand for serialized production.
- Production Coordinator MX-powered user interface: Main user interface needed for production coordinator role are now moved to Mendix with an enhanced user experience. In As Built for quality execution with visual inspection it’s possible now to look at what has been collected during execution.

Statical Process Control
Possibility to define control method to be associated to inspection definition so that Statistical Process Control (SPC) calculation is possible during a work order and inspection order execution.
On operator terminal a Mendix new widget will be present to show SPC chart. It’s possible to define sample size bigger than one during the quality execution.

Work Order Network
New dedicated user interface to see list of work order for a specific unit number and parent batch, with percentage of completion and status visible. It’s possible to look at the graph to look at the different work order and their dependencies.
