Siemens NX CAM featured at HURCO Training Center at Oakland Community College

By Stephanie Aldrete

Siemens NX CAM software was featured recently at Oakland Community College (OCC) in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, during the opening of the HURCO CNC Training Center and grand re-opening of the Advanced Technology Center.Follow this link to the 8-minute video, narrated by Justin Kane of Siemens PLM Software, showing a demonstration of the newest technologies in NX CAM software operating on a HURCO CNC 3-axis milling machine. The cut pattern shown in the video was programed with our software using a version not yet released but coming soon.

We have partnered with OCC to use their machine tool lab for testing, while HURCO uses the lab as a showroom for their CNC machines in the southeast Michigan region. Students of the Machine Tool Technology program, led by Beau Everitt, use the machines free of charge and will be offered an introductory CAM course in 2017.

For more information about the latest in NX CAM, see our blog post “What’s new in NX 11 for Manufacturing.”
