Demonstration: Increasing Productivity in Mold and Die Manufacturing
Today it is possible to prepare and use a very complete and dynamic representation of a machine shop in the digital world of software. In this session we will learn how examples of the digital twin and digital thread concepts apply to machining to provide productivity and quality benefits. You will see some examples of the latest applications in current 3 axis CAM technology and see an indication of some future directions and opportunities in areas such as tool design to programming automation and research into the application of machine learning to CNC programming. You will also learn about our capabilities in controlling the use of IP in contract machining via partner technology.
