While access to NX Academic Edition is not required to attend, the free NX Student Edition may not include access to the new features highlighted in the webinar. Note the difference between the two NX editions below.
NX Academic Edition
NX Academic Edition has the same features and capabilities as traditional commercial NX CAD/CAM/CAE software, but also includes the functionality to open files from NX Student Edition. It is available to accredited academic institutions such as universities,. technical colleges, trade schools and high schools. The software is intended for classroom training and research projects only.

NX Student Edition
NX Student Edition is a free NX CAD/CAM/CAE download from Siemens Digital Industries Software available online. It includes comprehensive NX 3D design tools and a full suite of NX CAM programming tools. The NX Student Edition is intended for students and life-long learners to learn NX.
Limitations: It is only available for Windows 64-bit. Watermarks are added to data to prevent NX Student Edition being used for commercial work, and you cannot open files from NX Student Edition in a commercial edition of NX. CAM data is not available for post-processing.
NX Student Day 2024

NX Certification
Ready to show off your NX CAD proficiency? You can register for the NX Design Associate exam on the Siemens Xcelerator Academy Exams page. When you pass the exam, you can claim your digital badge from Credly to show off on your LinkedIn.
Not ready to take the exam? You can prepare for the exam and learn NX on Siemens Xcelerator Academy. Students can access Siemens Xcelerator Academy courses for free through verifying their account using SheerID.
