For the first phase, two of Siemens’ software products from its Xcelerator portfolio of software and servicesSolid Edge® and NX™ software are expected to be utilized by the above universities. Solid Edge® is an intuitive product development software for accelerating all aspects of product creation, including 3D design, simulation, visualization, manufacturing, and design management. NX™ software is a leading integrated solution for computer-aided design, manufacturing, and engineering (CAD/CAM/CAE). Meanwhile, the Cambodia Industry 4.0 Transformation Center will include training equipment to support the training and digitalization journey of Cambodia’s Industry 4.0 practically and effectively.

Benefits for the Schools and Students

About 200 students in each school mentioned will be benefited with the same technology that companies worldwide depend on every day to develop innovative products in various industries, including automotive, aerospace, machinery, shipbuilding, high-tech electronics, and many more. Graduates with this type of software training are highly-recruited candidates for advanced technology jobs. As the industry evolves, the graduates’ STEM skills must evolve to keep up with the future of manufacturing. This technology from Siemens Digital Industries Software will help ensure our students have the skills necessary to succeed in the Industry 4.0 world.
