Mentor at SEMICON West

SEMICON West  fills the Moscone Center again this year with the entire electronics supply chain. You are guaranteed to learn something new about materials, equipment, design, manufacturing, or system integration. New this year is a series of virtual reality experiences (SMART Journey) that let you explore what’s next in fabs and factories and experience the latest in autonomous motoring. It’s like a Victorian/Tomorrowland Cabinet of Wonders in there from July 11-13, with the addition of happy hour refreshments.

Mentor, a Siemens business will be represented on the vendor floor and in technical sessions. Not only that, but Mentor’s Tessent Cell-Aware diagnosis product is a finalist for the “Best of West” awards. SEMI and Solid State Technology team up on the “Best of West” award to recognize notable new products that move the industry forward. Tessent Cell-Aware diagnosis is one of four finalists chosen from over 600 exhibitors. Details on the technology are available in a whitepaper Expose Transistor-level Yield Limiters with Cell-aware Diagnosis.

The Best of West winner will be announced on Wednesday, July 12 at SEMICON West.

So, register for SEMICON and come by the Mentor booth, #6661, for information on the Tessent DFT and yield products, including details on the new Tessent MissionMode controller for in-system test of automotive devices, and the Tessent DefectSim analog fault simulator. There will also be a demo of the Tessent desk-top diagnosis system. If you live more at the board level, stop by to talk with the Xpedition Enterprise team about High Density Advanced Packaging.

For insight into the Siemens view on the IC industry, come to the presentation by Tim Hewitt, the Executive Director of Industry Services development for Siemens’ PLM. His keynote, “Smart Manufacturing in the IC Industry: Realizing the Digital Factory Vision” is at 2:10pm on Tuesday, July 11.

As in most industry conferences, the topic of automotive electronics is ever more visible at SEMICON West. Don’t miss the presentations on Wednesday, July 12 in the “Smart Automotive 1: The Future of Smart & Connected Self-driving Cars” session. Mentor’s Stephen Pateras will demystify the latest electronics self-test solutions for meeting ISO 26262 functional safety requirements. Central to Mentor’s automotive test solutions is the new Tessent MissionMode architecture, which provides system-level low latency access to all on-chip test resources for on-line test and diagnosis.

See you there!
