Tecnomatix Plant Simulation User Meeting October 30, 2013 in Stuttgart, Germany

By Mike Rouman

PlantSimUserMtg.pngSince its release in April 2013, Tecnomatix Plant Simulation 11 officially provides the energy-oriented simulation features announced at the Winter Simulation Conference on December 30, 2012 in Berlin, Germany.  This essential enhancement enables you to directly implement and validate strategies for energy savings in the virtual factory.

Can the required output of the production facility be reached with the actively used standby modes of the machines?  How much energy can be saved using different measures during the production process?  These are some of the questions that you can now safely answer, validated by simulation studies.

In addition to this major new feature, during the user meeting we will also introduce additional developments and enhancements.  In version 11 you can, for example, use several new features to manage your simulation models and simulation data in Teamcenter, directly from within Plant Simulation.  A number of material flow enhancements facilitate quick and easy modeling of standardized processes.  And, we will demonstrate how to develop and distribute application add-ins.

As always, the mutual exchange of experience between you, the users of Plant Simulation, and us, the developers of Plant Simulation, will also play an important role.  For this reason, we cordially invite you to introduce your ways of working with Plant Simulation and your simulation projects in brief, twenty-minute presentations to encourage discussion and to share your experiences and ideas.  We are especially interested in simulation applications that are targeting a wider user base and those that make use of our 3D capabilities.  The primary conference language is German. However, English presentations are welcomed.  To register your presentation, please send an e-mail to the Tecnomatix Plant Simulation product manager, Dr. Georg Piepenbrock (georg.piepenbrock@siemens.com).

We are looking forward to your participation and to the continuation of the user meeting as one of the largest forums dealing with material flow analysis and simulation in German-speaking countries!
