Edddison technologies OG, a developer of tools that turn 3D files into an interactive experience, has announced that an add-on for Plant Simulation software, edddison for Tecnomatix Plant Simulation, will be available as a commercial product in autumn 2018. Edddison is a platform of different programs, plug-ins and interface technologies that turns your 3D file into an interactive presentation. It allows users to control 3D software with hardware such as mixed reality tools (tangible objects and webcams), touch devices and tablets.
“The goal of our Plant Simulation plug-in is to simplify the navigation and handling of the Siemens PLM Software solution,” said Thomas Kienzl, Chief Executive Officer, edddison. “It is made for stakeholders, managers, clients or colleges. They can play an active role and work with the core features of Plant Simulation during a meeting and presentation. Our solution is our contribution to an accessible virtual 3D world, with easy navigation and useable for everyone.”
Interactive 3D simulation and visualization is making its way into architecture, construction, engineering and design. But user-groups are limited because of their difficult and cumbersome handling by using mouse and keyboard. With edddison users can navigate and explore the project easily. The solution is offering an intuitive and effective way to interact with a Tecnomatix 3D model while making decisions on the spot.
