Were you cost-conscious this year? St. Nicholas has a special gift for you!
Most children in Germany prepared their slippers outside, next to the front door, with the hope that St. Nicholas comes over and slips some sweets in their shoes. Do you know St. Nicholas? Of course! You surely know that he is the ancestor of Santa Claus and that he is celebrated in Germany, every year, on the sixth of December? It’s true! He is not only celebrated in Germany, but in most countries of Europe: France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Austria, Netherlands and much more. Did you know that since 1966, children from all over the world have been writing to St. Nicholas of the small city called St. Nicholas in the days that lead up to Christmas? In the small town of St. Nicholas near the French border, all of the wishes of children are collected. The post office in Nicholas receives thousands of letters from all over the world each year. All letters are personally answered by helpers. The answers are even in several different languages, including English, Russian, French, Polish and Chinese. According to the German Post Center, it is the oldest post office in Germany.
We met St. Nicholas personally and discussed with him what we could provide our Teamcenter Product Cost Management customers to make their businesses more profitable and –of course- ensured that whatever was on his wish list will get delivered accordingly. So, good news! We have updated and extended the machine data in Teamcenter Product Cost Management with more than 900 new machines, especially for Asia Pacific, with the following technologies: Jet Cutting, Injection Molding, Blow Molding, Die-Casting, Ultrasonic Welding, Deburring-Mass, Finishing, Joining/Vibration Welding, MC-Milling/Turning, Robots.
