Manitou Group chooses Teamcenter for the lifecycle management of its products

Manitou Group has partnered with Siemens Digital Industries Software to develop a global solution that will manage the lifecycle of its products.

The tool is designed to standardize design processes and will be implemented across all of Manitou Group’s 10 production sites in France, Italy, India, and the United States.

Siemens’ Teamcenter software for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) will manage the machine database and the elements linked to various components and their nomenclature, while Siemens’ NX software for product engineering has been chosen as the CAD tool. By implementing this global solution, Manitou Group aims to optimize the time spent on product development while working on a single tool that allows the entire product lifecycle to be centralized.

The project is in line with Manitou Group’s strategic roadmap of making digital transformation one of its pillars. The first stage of implementation will focus on defining the core model and preparing for deployment, with the United States being the first country to implement the solution by the end of 2024, followed by Europe and India in 2025.

1,600 users across various departments, including design and R&D offices, technical documentation and after-sales departments, and marketing teams, will be impacted by this change and will be given training within the Group over the next three years.
