Users can configure the content of the boxes individually, and connections can be displayed in color to highlight the path. Manual movement of boxes has been improved, allowing for simultaneous movement of multiple boxes. The view can be saved as a fixed layout, and the sorting of elements can be customized.

βœ”οΈ Speed up quality inspection

Control and Inspection Planning module in Teamcenter Quality 2412 includesseveral enhanced inspection planning capabilities combined with control plan management to prevent rework and reduce costs while improving customer satisfaction.

  • Enhancements in graphical inspection planning: In the previous release, we introduced the integration of NX, which is part of Siemens Xcelerator, with Teamcenter Quality. In this version, we have further enhanced the integration to support a closed loop between part characteristics imported from NX and the inspection definition within the control and inspection plan, which is also based on the import from NX. The characteristics published in NX are displayed in Teamcenter on the “Characteristics” tab of the part object. If this part is used to create an inspection plan, the characteristic instance is listed, or referenced, in the inspection definition. This establishes a direct link between the displayed characteristics in the part and the inspection definitions imported and defined using the ballooning function in the inspection plan.
  • Enhance FAI with relevant inspection definitions imported from NX: First article inspection (FAI) is a crucial topic, particularly in the aerospace industry. In this software version, we have introduced an efficient way to import FAI-relevant inspection definitions from NX. With a new function, all FAI-relevant PMIs can simultaneously be imported into the control and inspection plan. Additionally, the software now supports manufacturing stage models, allowing engineers to define inspection plans across different production stages and provide comprehensive process documentation.
  • Enhancing the compare function: The comparison function for 2D drawings or 3D models has undergone further improvements in this version. Users can now customize the checking of changes to the PMI using a preference setting. The detected changes in the PMI information can be displayed directly in the 2D/3D model or in a table for easy reference. Furthermore, there is an optimization related to the transfer of changes to the control or inspection plan. Users have the option to update all inspection definitions. If not selected, the different versions of the inspection definitions are displayed with the corresponding part reference.
  • Report updated to support latest standards: The Control Plan Report can now be efficiently generated in alignment with the latest AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) 2024 norms, featuring a new Safe Launch control plan type that supports comprehensive quality management and process standardization.
