Some favorite interviews from SEU15
On the second day of Solid Edge University 2015 I had some time to walk around and interview some of the customers and exhibitors that had grabbed my attention at the event. Here are a few of those interviews:
Philip Norman’s presentation on the first day was a an eye opening approach to design. As a naturalist myself I loved how some of his best design ideas have been inspired by his close observation of nature. Here Peter talks about how he came to form a Robotics company, how he started using Solid Edge, inspiration from nature and how he discovered Keyshot at the event:
And its always good to talk with our mainstream customers at these events. I caught up with Ric Watts from Reading Bakery Systems – a manufacturer of food processing lines to get his views on the event. Through our partnership with Microsoft we had loaned Ric a Surface Pro 3 so it was great to get his feedback on mobile access to his design projects too:
Our exhibitors are a key part of the event and I spoke with several customers who had found potential solutions to product development issues by talking with our software partners. One solution that grabbed my attention was a 3D Printer exhibited by Mark Forged that incorporates carbon fiber into nylon models to create incredibly strong components:
