The qualifying series was completed on Tuesday evening where the 200 boats were ranked into gold, silver and bronze fleets.  With 20 different nations it is impossible to know just how good the competition is and if you can get into the top flight.  Six races decided the teams positions on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning the teams knew their positions and could change the ribbon on the top of the mast.

GBR6895 Teddy Dunn & Imogen Wade 18th

NED6486 Laura van den Acker and Femke van den Berg 44th

As we start the final two days of the main event GBR7070 and GBR4624 are on track for top 10 positions and one of them will be aiming to take home the all-female crew prize.  GBR6895 and NED6486 are hoping for top 30 positions with Teddy & Imogen keen to break into the top three mixed crews.

There are five races left in this event, the conditions have looked great but the sailing is challenging.  They will be listening closely to the coaches advice to secure the best possible result.  Good luck to our Simcenter sailors!
