How do you pick the topics for the insight streams in the Innovation SymposiumHub?
The selection of topics for the Insight streams in the Innovation Symposium ensures the alignment of the evolving needs of customers and Siemens’ strategic goals. This process begins with a comprehensive Q1 audit of business priorities. During this audit, Siemens’ strategy and SaaS leads collaborate closely with the Innovation & Ideation community to identify the key questions that the workshops should address. The primary objective of these workshops is to provide high-quality insights to various product segments across strategic topics, which can then be leveraged to drive strategic planning.
For 2025, the topics have been carefully chosen to reflect the most pressing and forward-thinking areas of interest within Siemens. These topics include:
- Harnessing AI across Siemens software: This topic explores the integration and application of artificial intelligence within Siemens’ software solutions, aiming to enhance functionality, efficiency, and user experience.
- Leveraging Low-Code for innovation: This stream focuses on the use of low-code platforms, such as Mendix, to drive innovation and streamline development processes across Siemens’ product portfolio.
- The next generation of Simcenter: This topic delves into the future of Simcenter, Siemens’ comprehensive simulation and testing solution, and how it can continue to evolve to meet the needs of its users.

What is happening during Realize LIVE that I can get involved in?
Realize LIVE offers a dynamic and engaging environment for participants to get involved in shaping the future of Siemens’ product strategy. Attendees can participate in half-day facilitated workgroups focused on the four strategic topics outlined above. These workgroups provide a platform for collaborative discussion and ideation, helping to shape the direction of Siemens’ future product strategy.
Following these sessions, participants are invited to join a compensated 1:1 interview to dive deeper into specific areas of interest. These interviews cover topics such as:
- AI: Exploring how users currently use AI, their plans for future use, and any concerns they may have around data integrity.
- Low-Code: Discussing Mendix use cases and cross-portfolio integration to understand how low-code platforms can drive innovation.
- Simcenter: Investigating future SaaS value and user expectations to inform the development of Simcenter.
What happened with the information collected in 2024?
The insights gathered at Realize LIVE 2024 were synthesized into themes that helped inform Siemens’ product strategy and development. These insights were crucial in shaping the direction of Siemens’ offerings and ensuring they meet the evolving needs of their customers. In 2025, the process includes Innovation Think Tanks, scheduled from July to August, to reflect on the 2025 data and integrate lessons learned into strategic planning and product roadmap development.
What is the structure of the on-site interviews, and are there still any opportunities for 2025?
Yes, opportunities are still available for on-site interviews in 2025. These interviews are structured as 45-minute deep-dive sessions led by the Strategic Research & Insights (SR&I) team during Realize LIVE week. Typically, these sessions are tied to the participants’ respective workgroup topics and follow the workshops. They provide Siemens with an opportunity to further explore participant feedback in a structured format, ensuring that valuable insights are captured and utilized effectively.
Is the same activity in Europe and Americas? Are there any expected differences in the audiences?
For the Innovation Symposium workshops, Siemens will only be executing on the Simcenter X topic for 2025 in Europe, with plans to grow their presence there in the coming years. Interviews for Simcenter Europe may be held virtually rather than on-site. Siemens also anticipates some regional differences in audience makeup, influenced by factors such as adoption trends, product maturity, and market penetration.

The 2025 Innovation Symposium aims to address several key challenges and opportunities, including:
- Uncovering unmet customer needs across AI, NX X, low-code, and Simcenter.
