Polarion North America conducted a Software Application Lifecycle Management Seminar on August 3, 2011. The event was hosted by our long time customer, Northrop Grumman Information Systems (NGIS), at their Herndon, VA facility. NGIS has been an enthusiastic supporter of Polarion ALM since their acquisition of the software five years ago. Reggie Burgess, Project Configuration Manager for the NGIS Gemini Project, also presented at the seminar sharing how NGIS has used Polarion to capture savings through improved collaboration.

In addition to the NGIS presentation, customers Kim Lawson-Jenkins and Buffy Lytton of the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) also participated with a presentation titled “Adventures in Project Management.” Without a formal project management structure within their organization, they were forced to manage projects organically. Polarion helped to demonstrate the importance of having a project management methodology in place to more efficiently manage the entire product development process. They recounted their mission to implement a PM structure in their organization, aided by the built in project management structure within Polarion ALM.

Tim Sampair and David Merrill, who are system engineers with Polarion, also conducted presentations at this event sharing many of the unique and powerful ways in which Polarion is being used among many customers, including the FAA (spell out) and Goodrich.

The seminar was well attended by many area Government and Industry organizations. The door prize was awarded by drawing to Arash Habibzadeh, of Enterprise Information Management, Inc. EIM is a veteran-owned solutions-focused company leveraging its proven methodology and comprehensive enterprise framework for the Rapid Automation of Business Processes. Congratulations Arash!
