Polarion X for Automotive

The Automotive industry is facing many challenges in their transformation on how cars are being developed and built. This includes the addition of more software to their already complex electrical and mechanical systems. This leads to questions like: How can you be confident that vehicles will perform safely and be secure at all times?

To help tackle these challenges, we have released our first Polarion X Industry Solution, Polarion X for Automotive, designed specifically for Automotive customers. Here is what it includes:

Functional Safety

We have implemented a solution for Automotive Functional Safety, based on ISO 26262 (the standard that governs the functional safety of electrical and/or electronic (E/E) systems within road vehicles). This solution allows for management of the functional safety artifacts, like your Hazards, Safety Goals, Functional Safety Concepts, etc. It allows you to complete your Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARA) and your Failure Modes and Effect Analyses (FMEA) directly in Polarion X.


We have implemented a solution for Automotive Cybersecurity, based on the newly released ISO 21434 (the standard that provides a process-related framework for secure software development and post-production monitoring of vehicles for security-related problems). This solution makes Polarion X your Cybersecurity Management System allowing the completion of the Threat and Risk Assessments (TARA).
