We are pleased to announce the launch of Polarion X 2506, our latest release that builds upon the foundation of Polarion 2506. (To explore the complete list of updates and improvements for Polarion 2506, please visit Polarion ALM 2506 – What’s New and Noteworthy).

Polarion X 2506 introduces:

  • Scheduled Scripts – Polarion X customers can now create and manage schedule scripts to automate critical steps in their processes and workflows.
  • Support of Nextedy Apps – Leverage Nextedy Gantt and Nextedy Risksheet on Polarion X.
  • Azure-based Deployment – Deployment on Azure is now offered to new Polarion X Premium customers.

Let’s take a closer look at all the new features and enhancements included in Polarion X 2506.

Polarion Scripting for process automation

Polarion Scripting a significant addition to our Polarion 2410 release, has transformed how you can automate and tailor your business processes with Workflow and Save Hook Scripts.

Building on this success, we are adding capabilities that further enhance your ability to automate critical steps in your processes and workflows and give your teams even greater efficiency and flexibility with Scheduled Scripts.

Scheduled Scripts take automation to the next level by letting you run scripts automatically based on configurable CRON schedules. You can automate routine processes to clean or validate your data, automatically generate daily, weekly or monthly reports and more.

Support of Nextedy Apps

The Nextedy Apps have long been a set of highly valued add-ons for our Polarion customers, significantly extending functionality. We are excited to announce that with Polarion X 2506, we now officially support two of these popular solutions: Nextedy Gantt and Nextedy Risksheet.

Reach out to Nextedy for enabling those on your Polarion X instance.

This is an important step in our commitment to expanding the Polarion X ecosystem, and we look forward to integrating even more partner applications in future releases to enhance your capabilities further.

Support for Azure-based deployment

We are pleased to announce that Polarion X now supports deployment on Microsoft Azure. Polarion X Premium customers can now choose from three strategic regions, ensuring broader accessibility and optimized service.

Our current Azure regions include:

  • East US (Virginia)
  • Germany West Central (Frankfurt)
  • Japan East (Tokyo)

This expansion demonstrates our commitment to seamless global service and support for our Azure-based customers.

Easier In-app guidance access

For some time, Polarion X has been providing users with a comprehensive onboarding experience through interactive guidance on essential features and functionalities.

With step-by-step walkthroughs and access to a Help Menu, users can reduce their learning curve and become proficient in using Polarion X quickly and confidently.

This approach not only enhances productivity but also ensures that users have immediate access to necessary resources and support whenever they need it. With this release, we’ve enriched our content to support users further.

With Polarion X 2506, we make it easier to access the In-app guidance by adding an ‘Interactive Guides’ link to the user setting panel.

We will also be deactivating the “Need Help” banner displayed on the Polarion Home Page later this fall to allow some time for your teams to get used to the new link.

Existing Customers to Upgrade to 2506

In the coming weeks, we will be reaching out to existing customers to schedule their upgrade to Polarion X 2506. We are committed to minimizing any disruption and will work with each customer to find a time slot that aligns with their work schedule and activities.

Conclusion

Polarion X 2506 continues to evolve as a robust SaaS solution, consistently building upon the proven strengths of Polarion ALM.

Your invaluable feedback remains a cornerstone of our development, ensuring Polarion X maintains its standing as the premier choice for cloud-based collaborative software development and project management.
