Polarion 'Puts a Head" on Version 2015

By Editor

It’s been a quiet week on the Polarion Software blog. The reason: Polarion teams, partners, and customers have united this week in Pilsen (Plze?), Czech Republic home of the famous Pilsner Urquell brewing company, to ramp up on what our R&D team has brewed up for you in the new major version release, coming later this month.

Polarion 2015 not only contains several significant new features, but will also introduce a new add-on product, first of its kind in our product line, for Variants Management. You can get an overview of what’s coming at our Polarion 2015 Early Access microsite.

Here in Pilsen today, our teams, partners, and customers, who have come from around the globe, are in Day 3 of in-depth first-hand looks at the new functionality, as well as training focused on helping them to help customers and prospects for Polarion solutions diagnose their business and technical challenges and craft a solution that truly helps their companies unlock synergies, drive innovation, and succeed in today’s fast-paced, fast-changing markets.

Watch our blog for the usual “What’s New and Noteworthy” post that will announce the general availability of the new version. (If you’re a current customer, we’ll also email your technical contact person.) The Polarion product test drive servers (for ALM, REQUIREMENTS, and QA) will be updated to the new version shortly following the release… we’ll announce availability here on the blog as well. Of course, you’ll be able to download the new version right away and try it out.

No gathering like this one is complete without some team building and social activities after hours. The folks at the Pilsner Urquell brewery delivered informative tours demonstrating their brewing process, which dates back to 1842. They led us through just a few of their warren of 9 kilometers of hand-hewn cellars beneath the city streets. The restaurant served up a tasty buffet of traditional Czech cuisine, and of course foaming mugs of their product… as fresh as it gets.

The brewing of Polarion Version 2015 is almost finished. Stay tuned for the release announcement.
