Calling all Mathworks Simulink® Users – We want to hear from you!
Hi everyone, Nick, and Adrian here from Polarion R&D and Product Management. As we begin to look at the next phase of the Simulink and Polarion integration we wanted to reach out to you for some assistance and advice.
The next phase of the Simulink and Polarion integration is to do with the topic of Configuration Management. Configuration Management of models allows you to put models under revision control and work collaboratively together. Configuration Management offers such concepts as configurations, baselining, branching and merging.
For the next phase of the Simulink and Polarion integration we are looking at adding support for cross tool “configuration management”. We recognize that many Simulink users may have their models managed under a source control management (SCM) or a Revision Control System (RCS) such as Git to support Configuration Management. Mathworks already support working with Git with the use of Simulink Projects. See https://www.mathworks.com/help/simulink/ug/configuration-management.html, so our intention is not to re-invent the wheel here, but to supplement any existing functionality and align it for its use with Polarion.
We also recognize that not everyone maybe as sophisticated with their models using Configuration Management – and that’s OK as well.
Regardless of how mature you are with these concepts; we would like to hear from you if you are interested in working with Simulink with Configuration Management in the context of Polarion. All you need to do is send us an email in the link below so we can hear your thoughts and needs on this subject. We can follow up with an online meeting as needed.
We look forward to hearing from you.
