Summary

Opcenter™ Execution Semiconductor (EX SM) software serves as the foundation for leading global manufacturers and product innovators that want to enable rapid change, lean manufacturing, consistent quality output, rapid new product introduction (NPI) and higher profit margins.

Integrated with enterprise resource planning (ERP), product lifecycle management (PLM), supply chain management (SCM), customer relationship management (CRM) and the shop floor, Opcenter EX SM completes the technology infrastructure for manufacturing. Solutions are architected for global use, enabling worldwide visibility for real-time control and mission-critical operations.

Opcenter EX SM 2604 along with the Mendix™ Low-code platform, which is part of the Siemens Xcelerator business platform of software, hardware and services, delivers new enhancements to improve an application’s capabilities and user experience.

Using Mendix Low-code, you can access a development framework and a community of prebuilt marketplace components to easily create and deliver powerful, optimized and role-based apps. This release contains the GA release of the enhancements to WIP Main Simple Mendix user interface, OOB preconfigured Power BI reports, SPC improvements along with new features from Opcenter Execution Core product.

Capabilities

WIP Main Simple Mendix UI extensions

• Configured Eprocedures and Checklists are now supported as an activity within WIP Main Simple.
  • This provides the same functionality as the WIP Main Advanced portal screen.

In-Line SPC extensions for Semi

• Ability to display Tolerance Limits for control charts.
• Enabled color control of SPC chart elements through new SPC Chart parameters.
• Enabled control of X-axis label orientations with new “xAxisLabelsRotation” parameter.
• Enable the ability to display univariate statistics for Variable control charts.
• Ability to assign a chart background color change when a SPC failure occurs.
• Extended functionality related to Equipment Status changes triggered by SPC failures
• Enabled ability to download displayed SPC charts.
• Optimized OTT loader script with all default SPC parameters included for default SPC Chart type and SPC charts.

 OC EX Semiconductor Power Bi Report bundle

• The new product is CEP 1063 – OC EX SM Power BI reports
• The bundle contains preconfigured dashboards and reports that are ready for use with MS Power BI software.  MS Power BI license not included
• There 11 Semi dashboards available in the 2604 release

Dynamic Purge Tool

• Installation can now use Amazon RDS-supported database role grant
  • The DPT can be used standalone against previous release of Opcenter Execution Core product family (2210 to 2604)
    • Available for Microsoft SQL Server only

New Core Technology and features available in Semi

Core Workflow enhancements

• The enhancement delivers a new Activity Workflow to support spread and parallel processing
  • Can model activity workflows with activity specs and set attributes of the activity specs
    • Delivers a new shop floor user interface for executing activity transactions such as: Activity start, activity next, activity complete and activity end processing, Component issue, Replace and Remove, collect data, electronic procedure, hold and release, Container rename, container attribute maintenance, container maintenance and record production event

Artificial Intelligence – Opcenter Chat

• Conversational AI interface, enabling users to engage with Siemens technical documentation
  • Uses natural language queries, supported by AI-generated responses and follow-up interaction
  • Accessible from the Portal and Mendix
  • Can be globally enabled or disabled, along with giving access to specific users

Additional enhancements

• Updates the styling of the color picker control in the Portal and shifts the avatar to the top right
  • Enables single sign-on from the Portal to Mendix
