Opcenter software, Research Development and Laboratory (RD&L) 8.1 is the next version released on the new-generation platform formerly known as the SIMATIC IT (SIT) R&D Suite. Opcenter Research Development and Laboratory represents a major technological evolution, providing lightweight client applications to the user, employing web technology and HTML5.
It includes new company-standard web themes and policies. It provides the application user interface (UI) with a new look, easier navigation capabilities and better alignment with other Siemens Digital Industries Software and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) products for the benefit of the end user.
