As we approach the formal release of NX 10, the NX CAM team did what they have done for more than 15 years: host a week-long training event for our partners and Siemens PLM Software people to get current with the latest software updates.
The event always packs the house and is highly anticipated. Participants look forward to the event so much that years ago it acquired the affectionate title of “CAM Fest.” The name is a testament to the family reunion feel of an event that brings so many manufacturing experts together from all over the world.
So I’m happy to have just wrapped up my week in sunny Cypress, CA at the conclusion of another successful CAM Fest. We’ve learned about NX CAM updates for our industry focus areas of Mold and Die, Machinery, and Complex machining. We’ve reviewed the latest advances in CMM and CAM data management, too. Much of what we saw will be released with NX 10, but we examined several capabilities that will come out in the releases following NX 10 as well. We even saw some projects that are just now being incubated and will be making big impacts in our solutions farther into the future.
We’ll be rolling out NX 10 details as we approach the December release date, so stay tuned!
