NX X Manufacturing reduces your total cost of ownership and unlocks new business opportunities. Furthermore, the NX X suite of products is a fully integrated CAD/CAE/CAM solution with seamless data and user scalability. This means that your legacy data can be used, ensuring a seamless experience.
How does it work?
NX X Manufacturing is hybrid or cloud SaaS version of NX CAM. This means that Siemens manages your NX CAM and data management environment, reducing overhead on your IT and support teams.
One key differentiator is that NX X Manufacturing users have the option to download and install the software onto their devices. This approach delivers a flexible user experience, providing the full power of NX CAM with the crucial point being offline access, ensuring productivity even in the absence of an internet connection.
However, companies can also give users the option to stream the NX X instance to any browser-enabled device through the NX X optional Remote Extension. This gives manufacturing departments who utilize NX X Manufacturing multiple configuration options for access to their CAM data.
Why is this important?
With NX X Manufacturing, users are provided with simplified user deployment and updates through cloud centralized license management. This means that configuration and updates are automatically provided by Siemens, enabling IT teams to tackle more pressing issues and allowing users to fully focus on productivity regardless of their location.
After purchase, Siemens will assist your organization with start services for onboarding. NX X Manufacturing onboarding is provided at no additional charge for all new and existing customers when they sign up for an initial NX X Manufacturing subscription. This onboarding Includes NX X Manufacturing software access and licensing, Teamcenter Share provisioning, addition of Named Users, Infrastructure Support and site configuration available to deploy to local server if required. Extended Services are also available to support user set up and customization if desired.
How is NX X Manufacturing different from standard NX CAM?
NX CAM is an open solution and allows the user to decide how to manage their data and NX X Manufacturing is the same. However, every seat of NX X Manufacturing includes base level data management capabilities. If you already have Teamcenter or 3rd party data management environment, NX X Manufacturing will integrate with your existing solution. However, if your organization has no existing data management solution, NX X Manufacturing will automatically be provisioned with base level data management capabilities.
This base level data management solution enables you to create and manage revisions, freeze and release designs, assign and complete tasks, and do 3D markup with your team.
At all times, it will remain the choice of your organization to use the included capabilities to maximize the benefits of collaborative data management or not.
