New Capabilities in NX CAM 10.0.1

By Stephanie Aldrete

In this follow-up release to NX CAM 10 software, we provide new enhancements to help you increase your manufacturing productivity. Some of the new functions for molds/dies, prismatic and complex parts machining include:

Achieve smoother finish when finishing steep.gifMachine better surface quality

You can overlap the tool cuts in areas where steep and non-steep regions converge, allowing you to achieve a smoother finish.

easily see boundaries on 3D surfaces.gifPrecisely control the tool with enhanced 3D boundaries

The projected cut area displays on the part surface. This new graphic display enables you to exactly control the contact cut area.

easily drill interrupted holes.gifEasily drill interrupted holes

The new Sequential Drilling operation allows you to efficently drill a sequence of coaxial holes with gaps in the part material. Simply select cylindrical faces, edges, or hole features to create optimized toolpath.

completely marchine both sides of a blade.gifCompletely machine both sides of a blade without edge rolling

The new option lets you prevent the cutter from rolling over the blade edges. It extends the tool path tangentially without rolling around the sharp corners.
