IMTS 2018: Siemens hosting booth tours, presentations and technical seminars

The International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) 2018 is less than one week away!  Plan to visit the Siemens digital machine shop on the show floor!  Join us during the show, September 10 – 15, and you will learn why Siemens leads the digital machine shop of the future.

Discover the new trends in additive manufacturing; learn the benefits of robotic machining and pick-and-place with one system; find out how you can secure your digital supply chain; and see just how easy it is to connect your machine tool to the cloud.  These and many more topics will be presented by Siemens — East hall, level 3, booth 134502.

Booth Tours

Register here for a Siemens booth tour!  During the show, from Monday, September 10th through Saturday, September 15th, we will have two market-specific tours to select from.

    • The Digital Machine Shop

Make better parts through digitalization and be more competitive!  Learn how to digitalize end to end part manufacturing from 3D model to finished part.

    • Digitalization for the Machine Tool Builder

The tour is optimized for machine tool builders.  Learn about the newest CNC innovations for milling and turning applications, additive manufacturing, robotics and even virtual commissioning.

 Presentations

We’ve got many demonstrations planned which will address the needs of the machine tool end-user and machine tool builder. Visit us throughout the day for live presentations and technical seminars. Each session will show you how to increase your productivity on the manufacturing floor — no matter your industry.  View the presentation schedule.

Experience the digital twin of CNC machining production

We will present the latest technology to perform highly-accurate machine tool simulation driven by the genuine SINUMERIK Virtual NC Kernel (VNCK) and operated with the Virtual Human Machine Interface (VHMI).  All of this technology enables comprehensive simulation with NX CAM software using the same G-code that drives the CNC machine. This works equally for operations programmed in ShopMill/ ShopTurn on the SINUMERIK CNC controller.  By digitalizing part manufacturing, machine shops achieve unique benefits, including the ability to:

  • Maximize machine uptime
  • Reduce setup and changeover time
  • Eliminate errors with G-code driven simulation
  • Optimize machining operations
  • Virtually teach and train machine operators

Watch this video to catch a glimpse of what you will experience when you visit the Siemens booth at IMTS 2018.
