Let’s shift gears. The world-renowned CES Innovation Awards® program is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products. The program has multiple technology product categories, including Artificial Intelligence, beauty technology, computer hardware components and everything in-between.
Our exclusive partnership with Sony led to a big win; leveraging Immersive Engineering in Designcenter with the Sony XR Head-Mounted Display resulted in us scooping the Best of Innovation in XR & Spatial Computing.
How are we changing product design landscape?
The iF Design Award is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious design competitions. Since 1954, the iF label has served as an incredibly reliable indicator of excellent design for consumers and the design community alike.
The HMD, in tandem with Immersive Engineering in Designcenter, won the award in the product design category, specifically gaming/VR/AR. The headset was recognized for it’s 4K OLED micro-display which enables real-time, high-definition rendering of textures.
How is Designcenter NX enabling ‘beautiful’ design standards?
Next up is the GOOD DESIGN AWARD. Celebrating 75 years of iconic design. The GOOD DESIGN® were founded in Chicago in 1950. Each year, GOOD DESIGN focuses on the best industrial and graphic designers and world manufacturers for their pursuit of extraordinary design excellence.
Designcenter NX, in collaboration with Sony and their HMD, was one solution that won in the GOOD DESIGN BEST 100. Jury’s Evaluation on the site described it as a ‘masterpiece that can update the standards in the field.’
Who is innovating in the Mobile Phones, Tablets and Wearables space?
The final award to recognize was in association with the Red Dot Design Award. The Red Dot Design award is seen as one of the world’s largest design competitions. It has become established internationally as one of the most sought-after marks of quality for good design.
Immersive Engineering in Designcenter, operating on the Sony HMD, was awarded in the category of the Mobile Phones, Tablets and Wearables. Red Dot indicated that it was ‘sophisticated in its technology and ergonomics, characterized by elegant simplicity. The concept of sustainability is also appealing.’
