What’s new in NX | June 2024 | NX Immersive Explorer
NX™ Immersive Explorer software released in December 2023 and the NX™ software continuous release cycle means that there are already some impressive enhancements in the June 2024 release.
NX Immersive Explorer is the latest iteration of our immersive visualization and design review technology. You can visualize designs in high fidelity on your desktop or in virtual reality with all major HMD (head-mounted display) hardware options.

See design changes instantly in VR
NX Immersive Explorer launches straight from your standard workspace in NX or NX™ X software. Intuitive controls make it easy for anyone to use without specific training or VR experience.
And now you can make modeling or assembly configuration changes in NX and see the design update live in immersive environment at the same time.
You can even access the Assembly Navigator from within NX Immersive Explorer to change the visibility of parts within the immersive environment.
Visualize mechatronics animations in high fidelity
Mechatronics Concept Designer is an NX add-on module that lets you model, simulate and validate machine designs with multibody physics and automation-related behavior.
You can now see accurate simulations of your designs in motion with NX Immersive Explorer, based on data from Mechatronics Concept Designer.
High fidelity immersive visualization like this is a gamechanger for validating mechatronics designs.
Your mechanical and automation engineers can communicate with innovative design review tools such as in-environment annotations and sticky notes as well as snapshots that let your colleagues dive straight back into a saved state of the visualization in a particular configuration.
Available through value-based licensing
You can access the NX Immersive Explorer add-on module as and when you need it with value-based licensing.
Value-based licensing is a flexible, scalable and cost-effective way to enhance your NX or NX X experience with a wide range of specialized and advanced capabilities.
Your organization gets a pool of tokens which colleagues can use to access the modules they need. The amount of tokens determines the amount of modules that you can access at the same time and it’s easy to add more tokens as your needs change or your business grows.
