PLM on Every Desktop

As PLM extends beyond normal CAD/PDM teams into the extended enterprise, there will be many more users who will participate in accessing product information, approving workflows, reviewing customer requirements, specifications and engineering changes, collaborating with suppliers, supporting sales in the RFP process, exchanging ideas for new products with marketing and many other day to day tasks. Most of these tasks, people will want to do in their familiar environment – Microsoft Office  – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

The Siemens PLM Campus is a new and unique way to illustrate how PLM customers will interact with PLM information from their familiar Microsoft Office environment. The initial tour of the campus demonstrates Teamcenter’s unique solutions for seamlessly integrating with the Microsoft Office Suite of desktop automation products.  As product manufacturing becomes increasing complex, companies are discovering that they need to include their entire organization in the product development processes – not just the CAD, CAM, and CAE users.

Explore our campus for an interactive tour to see how Siemens PLM Software helps companies to extend beyond traditional engineering and manufacturing environments.   This allows users to access relevant information with their familiar Microsoft Office tools.
